Our current emphasis area is sustainable urban development. However, the Fund can be interested in supporting any project related to the environment, urban life, and especially the intersection of environmental and urban life concerns. The topics listed below illustrate our areas of interest, but this is by no means an exhaustive list. We only seek proposals that are consistent with the mission and capabilities of the entity submitting a proposal. We prefer project proposals as opposed to proposals for general program support. We are particularly interested in supporting communications activities that will bring increased attention to the importance of these areas. In some cases we will consider providing funds to support other fundraising efforts by organizations with missions similar to ours.

Our primary areas of interest are currently:

•  Land use
•  Public transportation
•  Cycling and walking
•  Traffic mitigation
•  Transportation planning
•  City greening
•  Urban education
•  Livable communities
•  Urban form innovations
•  Environmental justice
•  Architecture and the urban experience
•  Any others that offer compelling change!
